What are your business hours?

Monday-Friday 9-5 (EST) and Saturday 9-3. Closed Sunday.

Which payment methods do you accept?

We accept Visa, Master Card, Discover,  Interac, Canadian cash & U.S. cash.  

Do you have a good frame selection?

Yes. We hand select beautiful frames from many high quality companies and have them on display for you to see and try on. For more information, see  our Frames page.

Do you ever have sales?

Sometimes. Quality lenses and current line frames do not go on sale. We have a few promotions per year, designed to make room for new inventory. To check if there is a current promotion, see Promotions & Events.


Do you honour manufacturers warranties?

Yes. See Warranties for more details.

Do you fit and sell contact lenses?

Yes. We fit and sell contact lenses. For more information, see Contact Lenses & Contact Lens Fitting.

Do you accept my vision care plan?

We accept many vision care plans. For detailed information, see Health Insurance Billing.

Eye Exams

Do you do eye exams?

Yes, there are Optometrists who perform eye exams practicing in both locations. For further information, see Eye Exams.

Do I need to make an appointment to have an eye exam at your store?

Yes. Appointments are required for all eye exams. Contact us to book your appointment.

Will you accept my doctor's eyeglass prescription?

Yes. We accept current prescriptions from all certified Optometrists and Opthamologists.

Our Glasses

Do I need to make an appointment to purchase eyeglasses?

Appointments are not necessary, but highly recommended to ensure timely personal service.

Is it common for people to own more than one pair of eyeglasses?

Yes. One pair of eyeglasses can generally do a great job in many cases. Multiple pairs are often required for different lighting situations and visual demands. For more information on task specific eyeglasses, refer to Custom Designed Vision.

How long will my glasses take?

It takes anywhere from a few hours to six weeks to produce a pair of glasses at Visions of Canada. So many of our glasses require special lenses and a lot of attention to detail. Same day service is a available for a range of lower single vision prescriptions. Two to three weeks is common for most cases, with rare and complicated prescriptions taking an average of 4-6 weeks to produce.

How much will my glasses cost?

It is very difficult to give accurate pricing without detailed information on your prescription, needs and expectations through consultation. This is why it is very important for you to come into our store with your previous eyeglasses and most current prescription, and speak to one of our experienced staff. How thin can you make my glasses?

The thinness of your glasses can be determined within a few millimetres only after detailed consultation. Every case is unique, and the final thinness depends on your prescription, frame choice, pupillary distance and lens choice. Only after these variables have been set can an approximate thinness be calculated. We work with you to choose the best frame and the thinnest lenses available for your unique case.

Are your thin lenses available in the United States?

All plastic or glass lenses must be ordered and picked up in person at our store.

I heard that there are thin lenses in Canada and Europe which are not available in the U.S.A. Is this true?

Yes, there is a whole world of lenses that are not available in the U.S.A. A lot of these advanced lenses aren’t even available in many optical stores in Canada & Europe.
